Hi! My name is Zoie Sanchez. I am the kind of person that lives life to the fullest... I mean every single second of my life is lived to the fullest.
"Be strong, because you never know who you are inspiring"
A Little Bit About Me
I am 15 years old, I am a sophomore at Imagine International Academy of North Texas. I am half Hispanic, and I to hold on to as much of my culture as I can. I had my quinceƱera which was essentially my coming-of-age party. I have done Karate for 7 years and I am a 1st Degree black belt. I can play 2 instruments, Piano and Ukelele. I am big on family, I have a sister, who I love to death. My favorite word is "onomatopoeia" because I find it fun to spell. I also have a weird obsession with dinosaurs and dragons. My biggest fear is...this might sound silly... anything that flies...yea. this includes birds, bugs, bees, etc. I am also Dyslexic and I have ADHD. Most people hear this and think "learning DISABILITY" but honestly I think the exact opposite. I view this as a superpower because it allows me to think of solutions quickly, memorize things like crazy, and learn how to persevere.
Today the sun rose in the east and set in the west, same as yesterday, same as tomorrow. The only thing making today a good or bad day is your perception of it... Make today a good day.
My Community
Community is a big part of my life. I have an extremely tight nit school community due to coming from such a small school. I also have a close relationship with my sister. I help lead 3 clubs in my school, Environmental Sustainability Club, Junior World Affairs Council, and Youth and Government. Outside of school, I teach mixed martial arts to people anywhere from 3 years old-60years old. I go to church around 2 times a week where I participate in my church youth group and actively go on mission trips.
Projects and Achievments

10th Grade Personal Project:
I created sleep mats for the homeless out of 100% recycled single-use plastic bags. I made 10 of these mats and then donated them to a food bank in my community.https://youtu.be/wZzTGnUi1OM
Kosovo Dinner:
I helped organize a formal dinner where we had guest speakers from Kosovo in which we raised over $8,000 in order to demine a field in Kosovo. This field is right in front of an elementary school.
Youth and Government:
I am head of the high school legislative room for my school's Youth and Government team. I help teach high schoolers how to debate, be a public speaker, make a bill, and develop an argument. The team that I taught ended up all going to the Texas state competition.
I am Vice President of my school's Enviormental Sustainability club. We manage the schools lost and found, recycling program, plants, garden, and we host advocacy activities to educate our school community on living sustainably.
